FLYING Media Group Acquires Bonnier's Marine Media Titles

In July 2021, FLYING was acquired by Craig Fuller, the founder and CEO of FreightWaves, from Bonnier to form FLYING Media Group (FMG). Over the next two years, FMG acquired 25 other aviation brands, creating the most comprehensive aviation media brand in the world, serving audiences across all aspects of aerospace. Until now, FMG focused solely on aviation, but today marks an expansion of FMG's breadth with the acquisition of Bonnier's recreational marine media portfolio.

Garmin Updates D2 Watch Series with Mach 1 Pro

This Incredible Plane: Bede BD-1

The BD-1 first flew on July 11, 1963, and met or exceeded all design specifications. The prototype featured a 117-knot cruise speed, a VNE of more than 200 knots, and an initial climb rate in excess of 1,000 feet per minute. Initially designed as a kit, Bede was so pleased with the prospects for marketing his new design that he decided to go the Part 23 certification route for the BD-1.

Cirrus Launches Innovation Center View in Browser Cirrus Launches Innovation Center By Kate O'Connor Cirrus announced plans to build the Innovation Center in September 2022. In addition to workspaces, the facility houses a material and processes lab, integration test lab, advanced design and development lab, environmental equipment and testing capabilities and space for development and testing. According to Cirrus, it currently has over 300 employees working at the facility. Still, some of the best commentary has come from non-experts—regular pilots who were concerned about a certain part of the NPRM and explored it thoroughly.
